The Golden Rules of Budget Allocation
The fastest way to blow your interior budget is failing to plan room-by-room. A common pitfall is overspending on the living room and leaving nothing for the master bedroom wardrobes.
Where Does the Money Go?
In a typical Indian 3BHK project, the budget roughly splits as follows:
- Living, Dining & Foyer: (25-30%) Usually the showpiece area with the TV unit, display units, partition designs, and premium false ceiling.
- Modular Kitchen: (18-22%) Highly material-intensive (hardware, laminate, plumbing, appliances).
- Master Bedroom: (18-20%) Wardrobes, false ceiling, bed frame, and often a dedicated dressing unit.
- Guest/Kids Bedrooms: (20-25%) Usually accounts for the remaining wardrobes and study units.
